Situated amidst a spice plantation comprising of pepper and cardamom, guests will be drawn into and immersed in the various facets of life in a typical plantation in Kerala. A rivulet courses through the crook of valley here, forming a small lake at one end. Spread over 3 acres, its depth varies from 5ft to about 25ft in places. Numerous spots for anglers are provided on the fringes of the lake stocked with endemic fish namely Cutla, Thilopia, Mushi, Carp and freshwater prawns. The chef at Kofiland will gladly cook the days catch in the traditional Kerala style, else, guests could opt to set up a barbeque beside the river and enjoy a picnic lunch. Facilities for boating - both peddle and row boats are provided.

A stone paved path snakes uphill to the set of cottages. The view from a 'Planter's Villa' is stunning to say the least, looking down at the lake from small balconies and up at the trees, pepper and coffee bushes on the hill opposite. The rooms in the cottages are spacious, looking out at the balconies through sliding glass doors covered with light drapes, with plush beds spread with cream colored quilts and strewn with vividly colored plump cushions. The bathrooms are large and outfitted with a Jacuzzi and a glass covered cubicle.
Set between the lobby and pool, Kofiland's multi cuisine restaurant is elegantly appointed with robust wood furniture, earth toned fabrics, wood panels on the walls andfloor, sturdy rafters supporting the roof and large stretches of glass windows on three sides with thick white cotton blinds - when open, look out at scenic views of the property.
The cuisine in the restaurant comprises an eclectic range of Indian dishes from different parts of the country. However it is the choice of dishes that bear the distinctive flavors of the different cultures of Kerala that are bound to delight a discerning palate.
Ayurveda, meaning 'life-knowledge' in Sanskrit is a system of indigenous and alternative medicine of Vedic origins native to the Indian subcontinent. The spa at Kofiland offers guests both, short and long term treatment packages.
The 100 acre coffee and spice plantation surrounding Kofiland is a delightful voyage of discovery with many pleasant adventures along the way. The first coffee plant here was planted in 1950. The barks from these tress were used by Pharmaceutical companies to cure fever and other recurring sickness. This was also the first plantation in the district to have planted the genus Arabica coffee plant. Today the plantation mainly consists of coffee - Arabica and Robusta, pepper and cardamom.
In the depths of the plantation, pathways wind through coffee bushes with plump, red coffee berries, past vines of pepper and vanilla, past cardamom bushes and tracts of clove, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric and nutmeg. Guest may walk or trek through the plantations, at different locations they will have opportunities to observe at close quarters the processes involved in the cultivation and processing of the numerous varieties of spices grown here.
Kofiland offers special packages for groups accompanying weddings where they book the entire set of cottages on offer. The resort will also assist in taking a group on sight- seeing trips in the area.
